Torrefied and caramelised, possessing grassy notes and a subtle acidity due to the caramelised burnt malt.
Beige, compact, subtle, and persistent foam; dark colour with a ruby hue, free from suspended solids, but sometimes presents a yeast haze; soft carbonation.
Caramel malts balance the mild acidity coming from the roasted malt and the bitterness of the hops (Admiral variety). Full-bodied ale.
