This is a Parmesan cheese from the mountain area around Bologna and Modena. It is the classic, versatile 24 month aged Parmesan, which is ideal for grating onto practically anything but is also excellent with baked dishes, shaving onto salads, or on its own with balsamic vinegar, especially aged red label balsamic.
It has a fragrant and persistent aroma with the most delicious tangy, fruity/nutty taste and all the goodness common to all Parmesans (Parmigiano Reggiano DOP cheeses are full of nutrients and good for yound and old alike).
